Meet the friendly staff at Dearborn Animal Hospital!
Dr. Ellington graduated from the UGA college of Veterinary Medicine in 1986 and came to Dearborn just after graduating. From 1989 -2002 she and her family worked abroad in Mexico, England and Germany. On returning to the USA she 'came home' to Dearborn and became the practice owner in 2009. She particularly enjoys building long term relationships with her patients and clients and likes challenging medical and dermatology cases.
Dr. Dixie Cely earned her BSA in Microbiology from UGA and her BS in Medical Technology from MUSC. She worked as a Microbiologist at Emory Hospital before returning to UGA for her DVM. She enjoys gardening, yoga, running, mission work in Honduras, and cooking in between caring for her four cats, one dog, and one chinchilla. Dr. Cely has been caring for pets and their owners at Dearborn and Decatur for over 25 years.
Dr. Gidion is a graduate of The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. After growing up in Japan, she studied to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, particularly surgery. She enjoys gardening, all things Star Trek, and pumpkin carving.
Every day I get to wake up and go to the greatest job in the world. I loved growing up in a house full of animals and found I connected with them deeper than most people did. I also have a passion for taking care of those around me: family, friends, classmates, and of course, animals. These two interests combine beautifully in practicing the art of veterinary medicine. I want every client to feel like they are empowered to take the best care of their animal so they can live long, healthy lives together.
Dr. Wynne earned her BS in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2011, her MS in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Georgia in 2016, and her DVM from the Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Before earning her master's degree and attending veterinary school, she worked as an equine veterinary technician and rescued sick and injured marine mammals in Northern California. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, snowboarding, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and scruffy terrier Colonel Milkbone.
Dr. Eichenbaum earned her DVM and MPH from the University of Georgia after completing a BS in Biology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to entering veterinary school, she gained experience with a wide variety of animals as a volunteer with the Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort (AWARE) and as an intern at Zoo Atlanta. She looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and clients at Dearborn. Outside of work, she enjoys art, thrifting and spending time with her cat, Shoko.
