As we celebrate our 75th anniversary of serving pets in our community, we are pleased to confirm our ongoing and future support for our community. In 1948 Dearborn Animal Hospital was opened on College Ave. in Decatur, and in 2013 we moved to our new location on Dekalb Industrial Way, still in Decatur. Ever since 1948, we have been locally owned and operated by a veterinarian at Dearborn Animal Hospital. In this age of big box clinics and corporations purchasing local animal hospitals, we are committed to remaining a locally owned and operated independent animal hospital, always putting our patients and clients first.
Our Mission is: We provide caring, professional and affordable preventive, medical, surgical and emergency services for your family pets. We see this as a commitment to our clients in all of the communities around our hospital. As the world changes, we will need to adapt to the new environment, but we will be able to make decisions based on our own knowledge of what is best and not be required to follow guidelines set by some outside owner or corporate group that does not know our community and our beloved patients. This commitment is made as we look to the future and put the talent in place to make sure that we can continue to serve our community for another 75 years.
